First off, we wanted to let you know we’ll be closed for two days, Sunday and Monday for Thanksgiving, and to give ourselves and our hardworking staff a bit of a break after a wild summer and great start to the fall.
Next up, we wanted to let you know that Terry is taking his beer to his first Beer Festival – Celtic Oktoberfest – Oct. 25, in Cape Breton. It’s sure to be a fine feast of local food and craft beer! Our friends from Kingsville Farm & Haven Coffeebar, The Dancing Goat, and the NSCC culinary team (where we found our awesome new line cook Shane!) will be there, along with 9 NS breweries including Hell Bay,Tatamagouche, and North Brewing.
LIVE MUSIC ALERT! DOC MACLEAN, OCT. 25
Just to make your decision of how to spend that Saturday night a little tougher, we’re bringing back the Delta blues-man Doc MacLean and his steel guitar. Show starts at 9pm, tickets will be $10 at the door.
That’s it for now. Hope to see some of you tonight – Jacob is cooking up some decadent Oysters Rockefeller again, and a beautiful scallop risotto with Michael Overmars’ baby spinach! If not, have wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend.
We’re particularly grateful to our SUDS Club who helped us get The Townhouse off the ground, to all of you wonderful patrons who have kept us thriving for over 2 years now, and to all the great people, bright ideas, and hardworking organizations who make it such a pleasure to be and work in the greater Antigonish community!
Thank you all!
Rose & Terry
